Missions has been a main priority of First Baptist Church since the church’s inception in 1950. Currently we support over 50 missionary families on a monthly basis. At First Baptist Church our mission is to “Know Christ & Make Him Known” and missions is invaluable in seeking to achieve this mission. We are commissioned and commanded by God to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to Jerusalem (our city), Judea and Samaria (surrounding areas, home missions) and the uttermost parts of the earth (the world). Acts 1:8, Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 16:15, Luke 24:47-48 and John 20:21.
First Baptist Church of Ashland hosts a yearly missions conference every October.
