Missions: Making Christ Known Around the World
Since its founding in 1950, First Baptist Church of Ashland has maintained a strong commitment to world missions. We believe the Great Commission is not merely a command to the church, but a calling for every believer to help take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a world in need of a Savior.
Our vision is to “Know Christ & Make Him Known,” and missions is a vital part of fulfilling that vision. Following the pattern of Acts 1:8, we seek to reach our community, our surrounding areas, and the uttermost parts of the earth with the saving message of Jesus Christ.
Today, First Baptist Church supports more than 50 missionary families on a monthly basis, partnering with them as they proclaim the Gospel, establish churches, and make disciples around the world. Each October, we host our annual Missions Conference to renew our commitment to the Great Commission and encourage our church family to pray, give, and participate in the work of world evangelism.
Our desire is simple: to know Christ more deeply and to make Him known everywhere He sends us.
